RICHMOND, Va. – VCU senior Christian Gordon (Agricola, Va.) has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday.
 
Gordon started threw seven shutout innings Saturday at St. Bonaventure to earn his fourth win of the season (4-1). The VCU southpaw struck out 10 and scattered four hits in his longest outing in two seasons as a Ram.
 
In nine starts this season, Gordon has crafted a 4-1 record and a 4.20 ERA over 40.2 innings. His 53 strikeouts lead the Black and Gold and rank second in the A-10.
 
Gordon and the Rams will return to action on Tuesday, April 16 when they host Liberty at The Diamond at 6 p.m.
