RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Basketball has released its 2023-24 non-conference schedule. The slate is highlighted by six home games and participation in the San Juan Shootout.

In addition to those, the Rams' schedule features four teams who made an appearance in the 2023 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. JMU, Sacred Heart, ECU and St. John's all made an appearance in last year's March Madness.

VCU begins its slate at home hosting Hofstra (Nov. 7) before traveling to William & Mary (Nov. 10). The Rams then welcome ECU (Nov. 14) to the Siegel Center as the first among four consecutive games against 2023 NCAA Tournament participants.

The Pirates are the defending American Athletic Conference Champions and it will mark the fifth consecutive season the teams have met. VCU then travels to in-state rival JMU (Nov. 19), the defending Sun Belt Champions.

The Rams will then take part in the San Juan Shootout in San Juan, Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving. VCU is set to play three games in the Caribbean facing NCAA Tournament participants St. John's (Nov. 23) and Sacred Heart (Nov. 24) before closing the event against the University of Puerto Rico (Nov. 25).

VCU returns to Richmond with five straight local contests to close non-conference play. Charlotte (Dec. 2) will travel to the Siegel Center before the Rams face Division I newcomer Le Monye College (Dec. 5).

The Black and Gold then help open the new Henrico Sports & Events Center against Delaware (Dec. 11), the new site of the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship.

Longtime rival ODU (Dec. 17) makes the trip west to Richmond before the Rams conclude non-conference play against Maryland-Eastern Shore (Dec. 20).

VCU returns nine letter winners and 10 student-athletes from last year's team including All-Atlantic 10 Third Team selection and the team's leading scorer Sarah Te-Biasu.
