RIHCMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Basketball has released its 2026-27 non-conference schedule highlighted by seven games at the Stu including an in-state matchup against 2026 NCAA Tournament participant and former Metro Conference rival Virginia Tech (Nov. 12).

The Rams' schedule also features another ACC foe in Florida State and Big Ten opponent Ohio State at the Henrico Sports & Events Center as part of a challenging 4 Tha Culture Holiday Classic over Thanksgiving weekend. The Seminoles have played in 12 of the last 13 NCAA Tournaments while the Buckeyes have made five consecutive NCAA appearances.

The Rams, led by new head coach Chelsea Banbury, open the season at home against Central Connecticut (Nov. 3). Banbury joined VCU in April after leading High Point to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. She holds a 140-79 career mark in seven seasons as a head coach.

The Rams host the Hokies (Nov. 12) in their second contest just over a week after the season opener. VCU last hosted Virginia Tech at the Stu in 2009, a 72-58 win for the Rams, and last played the Hokies in the 2019 WNIT Second Round in Blacksburg, Va.

The Rams welcome NC Central to the Stu on Nov. 16 before their lone non-conference road contest at Maine on Nov. 19. VCU hosts Morgan State on Nov. 23 before playing in the 4 Tha Culture Holiday Classic against Coppin State (Nov. 27), Ohio State (Nov. 28) and Florida State (Nov. 29) in Henrico, Va.. 

The Rams close out their non-conference slate with three consecutive home games against Charlotte (Dec. 6), New Hampshire (Dec. 13) and Southern Miss (Dec. 21).

VCU added 2026 Big South Player of the Year Macy Spencer as well as 1,000 career point scorer Lexi Fleming in the transfer portal, both following Coach Banbury from High Point. The Rams return eight letter winners from last year's roster, including second-leading scorer Katarina Kneževic, and added a group of four talented newcomers.
