WASHINGTON, D.C. - VCU senior guard Macy Spencer was named to the Atlantic 10 Preseason Second Team while junior guard Katarina Kneževic was named to the Third Team as announced by the conference on Monday.

Spencer, a transfer from High Point, was the 2025-26 Big South Player of the Year. Kneževic was VCU's leading scorer and rebounder last season, averaging 10.3 points and 6.0 rebounds.

Spencer averaged 18.6 points per game for the Panthers and scored 20 or more points 18 times last season. She helped lead the Panthers to the Big South Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance where she scored 27 points in a loss to Vanderbilt.

Kneževic scored in double figures in 14 of 29 games played last season but became more consistent late in the season, hitting the mark seven times in the last 10 games to finish out the year. She also recorded two double-doubles during that final stretch.

The Rams were picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll in new head coach Chelsea Banbury's first season. VCU opens the year on Tuesday, Nov. 3 as the Rams host Central Connecticut at 6 p.m.
