NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – For the second time in his 14-year career, VCU Men's Soccer Head Coach Dave Giffard has been named the 2023 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year as part of the conference's post season awards.
 
Giffard, who is the second-winningest coach in program history, was last named A-10 COTY in 2018 and VCU's A-10 regular season title was its first since 2018. The Rams finished 7-6-5 (5-1-2), winning the final three regular season matches to take the regular season title.
 
VCU also had the A-10 Rookie of the Year (Andrey Salmeron), the first Ram to earn that award since 1997 (CAA), and Giffard coached five Rams to the A-10 All-Conference and All-Rookie teams.
