RICHMOND, Va. – VCU freshman Anja Kujundzic (Ljig, Serbia) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
 
The honor follows Kujundzic's standout performance in a pair of victories over Duquesne at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. In two matches, the 5-foot-5 libero averaged 7.38 digs per set. She piled up 35 digs in Saturday's 3-1 win, the most by a Ram in 16 years.
 
Kujundzic is averaging a team-high 4.66 digs per set this season, which ranks third in the A-10. In four conference matches, she is averaging a league-high 6.12 digs per set. She has also served up 15 aces this season.
 
VCU and its Rookie of the Week will return to the court on Tuesday, Oct. 3 when they welcome Davidson to the Siegel Center for a 5 p.m. tilt. That match will stream live on ESPN+.
