HOW IT HAPPENED:
- France got out to an 8-2 lead early with 6:07 remaining in the game and led 26-9 with 5:38 left in the second quarter
- The U.S. then went on a 9-0 run, capped by an Asare 3-pointer, to cut France's lead to 26-18 with 3:50 left before halftime. France would lead 34-22 at the half
- The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair and the U.S. trailed 47-35 heading into the fourth
- The U.S. went on a run midway through the fourth quarter, with Asare's layup getting the U.S. with 51-44
- The United States was unable to close the deficit in the final minutes as France held on for the win
