HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Rams had the game's first chance in the third minute as Wetzel forced a Lock Haven save on a shot attempt off a penalty corner
- Lock Haven looked to have taken a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute off a penalty corner but the goal was disallowed
- Just before the end of the first quarter, VCU capitalized on its third penalty corner of the game as Wetzel's shot low and to the far post beat the goalkeeper to give the Rams a 1-0 lead. Maite and Svea Sturm each assisted on the goal which came in the 14th minute of action
- Gregory pushed VCU's lead to 2-0 midway through the second quarter after Wetzel played her in behind the right side of Bald Eagles' defense. Gregory used her first hit to beat the goalkeeper to the near post
- The Rams scored just five minutes later in the 30th minute to make it 3-0 as Wetzel again converted a penalty corner on assists from Maite and Svea Sturm
- In the second half, VCU's defense held Lock Haven at a distance and allowed just two shots in the second half and just one shot on goal
