2020-21 (SPRING): SENIOR

  • All-Atlantic 10 Second Team and Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team
  • NFHCA Senior Team selection
  • Started all 10 games and recorded seven assists
  • Ranked eighth nationally in assists at 0.7 per game
  • NFHCA Scholar of Distinction
  • NFHCA National Academic Squad

2019: JUNIOR

  • Named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team and All-Atlantic 10 Academic Team
  • Started all 17 games for VCU
  • Led the team with six assists
  • Scored three goals including one game-winner
  • Ranked third on the team with 12 total points
  • Named to Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad

2018: SOPHOMORE

  • Named to All-Atlantic 10 First Team
  • Started all 19 games for VCU
  • Recorded two goals and three assists
  • Recorded 15 shots and 10 shots on goal as well as seven total points
  • Named a Division I Scholar of Distinction and to the NFHCA National Academic Squad

2017: FRESHMAN

  • Named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team and All-Atlantic 10 Rookie Team.
  • Tied for second on the team and 13th in the A-10 with seven goals.
  • Scored two game-winning goals.
  • Tied for team lead in shot on goal percentage (.714).
  • Named NFCHA Division I Scholar of Distinction and to the NFHCA All-Academic Squad.

PRIOR TO VCU:

  • Played in eight Juvenile German Indoor Hockey Championships, five indoor and three field, and have played in five finals. 
  • Helped her team to two championships during that time in addition to a runner-up finish and two third place finishes. 
  • Appeared in several Bundesliga games, one of the top adult leagues in Germany. 
  • Competed in both the first and second divisions of the German Field Hockey league since the spring of 2016 with Hockey-und Tennisclub Uhlenhorst (HTCU). She was a member of the inaugural ladies' team of HTCU. 
  • Her club team, Duisburgs of the Club Raffelberg, finished first in the German Juvenile Championship Field Hockey in 2016. 
  • She also led her HTCU team to first place at the Western German WHV Indoor Field Hockey Championship in February 2016 and the DHB Field Hockey Championship in 2016

  • Born on April 20, 1999 in Datteln, Germany
  • Daughter of Michael and Silke Sturm. Has one brother, Sören (20), and a twin sister, Maite (18), who also plays for VCU Field Hockey.
