RICHMOND, Va. – VCU men's soccer head coachÂ
Dave Giffard announced the Rams' schedule for the fall 2021 season Tuesday afternoon. The 17-game slate features six teams that played in the 2020 NCAA Tournament, including two that made the College Cup.

VCU kicks off the season with a pair of ACC opponents, playing at Wake Forest, who made the NCAA quarterfinals in the spring, on Aug. 26 and at national semifinalist North Carolina on Aug. 29.

The Rams open September with two more road matches, at FIU on Sept. 4 and at Charlotte on Sept. 10. VCU's home opener at Sports Backers Stadium is on Sept. 14 against East Tennessee State, and its Atlantic 10 opener is Sept. 18 at Rhode Island.

The A-10 slate is rounded out by home matches against Dayton (Sept. 25), Duquesne (Oct. 6), Saint Louis (Oct. 9), and Fordham (Oct. 23), and road matches at La Salle (Oct. 2), George Mason (Oct. 16), and Massachusetts (Oct. 30).

The Black and Gold's non-conference schedule features road matches against in-state rivals Old Dominion (Sept. 21) and Virginia (Sept. 28). VCU will also host UNCW on Oct. 19 and play at national runner-up Indiana on Oct. 27.

In total, VCU faces five opponents that were ranked in the final United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll of the spring, including three in the top six slots, and two more that received votes.Â

VCU compiled a 4-3-2 record in the spring 2021 season, including a 3-2-1 mark in A-10 play.
