RICHMOND Va. – VCU Baseball and Head Coach
Shawn Stiffler released its 2021 season schedule Friday afternoon. VCU is set to open up its 2021 season on the road for a three-game series with former CAA rival UNCW in Wilmington, NC. The Rams will then travel to Elon for another three-game affair as a part of its non-conference schedule.

The schedule once again features home and away contests with the 2015 National Champion and ACC contender, Virginia. The teams will clash first at The Diamond (April 20) before the Rams make a trip to Charlottesville (May 4).

In their home opener, the Rams will host VMI on Tuesday Mar. 2 at The Diamond. Among others who will make trips to the Boulevard are William & Mary (March 7), Towson (March 12) and ASUN favorite Liberty (March 19).

In Atlantic 10 play, VCU will host series' with Davidson, George Mason, and Dayton while traveling to take on George Washington, Richmond and St. Louis.

In 2020 VCU started their shortened season with a 9-8 overall record and a 6-2 record at home. The Rams will return almost all of their offensive arsenal in 2021. Among those returners is senior outfielder
Brandon Henson who started the 2020 season on a blistering pace by tallying 6 home runs and leading the team with 15 RBI in the short season. Also among those returning are senior infielder
Steven Carpenter and junior infielder
Liam Hibbits. Right-handed pitcher
Michael Dailey will return for his sixth year as a Ram. Dailey recorded 21 strikeouts in the 20 innings he pitched last season. Â
