RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Tennis will look to build upon a two-match win streak as it plays a pair of matches this weekend.

VCU enters the match on a two-match win streak following 7-0 sweeps of Davidson and William & Mary last week.

The Rams will face Temple at 9 a.m. Friday at the Thalhimer Tennis Center. VCU will then travel to Norfolk to take on Old Dominion at 1 p.m. Sunday.

116th-ranked senior Paola Diaz-Delgado and graduate Noumea Witmus have led the Rams in doubles competition so far this season. The duo has notched a 5-3 record competing on court one.

Witmus enters Friday's match one win away from career victory 100.

In singles play, junior Shivani Manjanna has put together a series of dominant performances and sits at 4-1 entering the weekend.

Manjanna was named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week on Monday following a 4-0 record in last weekend's matches.

Freshman Alessia Ciuca has put together a solid resume in her first collegiate season. Ciuca holds a 4-4 record in doubles play with a variety of partners and has earned three singles wins.

The freshman was named A-10 Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive time following a 4-0 performance last weekend.

Temple is 1-0 this season after a 7-0 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday. The Owls were 5-6 at the suspension of the 2019-20 season. The match will be the 12th meeting between the two programs. VCU leads the all-time series 10-1.

Old Dominion comes into the weekend at 2-4 following a 6-1 loss at No. 12 NC State on Friday. The Rams are 34-13 all-time against the Monarchs.

Per VCU Athletics guidelines announced prior to the season, no spectators will be allowed into the Thalhimer tennis center at this time.
