RICHMOND, Va. – Head Coach
Shawn Stiffler and VCU Baseball is pleased to announce staff changes ahead of the 2021 season.
Andrew Llewellyn has been promoted to Volunteer Assistant Coach while
Sean Thompson has been brought on staff as Director of Pitching Development.

Llewellyn enters his second season on the VCU Baseball staff after serving as Director of Operations for the 2019-2020 season. Prior to his time at VCU, he was a four-year starter as catcher at Wingate University where he led his team to a regional in 2018 and was named All-Conference his senior season. He graduated from Wingate with a bachelor degree in Sport Management. Llewellyn is currently in VCU's Center for Sports Leadership master's program.

Sean Thompson enters his first season on the VCU Baseball staff as Director of Pitching Development. No stranger to the Rams, Thompson was a four-year starter for the VCU Baseball program as a pitcher from 2015-2018. After a successful career with the Rams, Thompson stands second all-time in career wins (27), third in games started and ninth in innings pitched. He was also the winning pitcher vs. Dallas Baptist in 2015, when the Rams clinched the Dallas Regional, helping to send the Rams to their first ever Super Regional. After his playing career at VCU, Thompson signed a free agent deal with the Chicago White Sox where he played in the minor leagues for two seasons. Thompson is a graduate of VCU with a bachelor's degree in Business Communications.
