THE SHORT STORY:Â VCU used two first quarter goals to get out to an early lead and earned the shutout win on Senior Day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- VCU took the lead in the third minute on a penalty corner. Following the stick stop, Wetzel passed the ball to Field who fired a low shot that beat the goalkeeper
- The Rams went up 2-0 in the 14th minute after Lonica McKinney followed her first shot attempt and scored from close range
- Sturm made it 3-0 just before halftime in the 30th minute, scoring from the wing on a shot that skipped underneath the goalkeeper
- Goodwin pushed the lead to 4-0 in the 43rd minute after her initial shot attempt was saved and she was able to score off the rebound
