THE SHORT STORY: Janne Wetzel's second quarter goal proved to be the deciding factor as Sasha Elliott made six saves in VCU's shutout win.

  • Maite Sturm and Litiana Field had a shot saved and blocked in the 24th minute as VCU held onto the 1-0 lead at halftime
  • Williams made her defensive save in the 31st minute to keep the game scoreless
  • VCU limited the Minutewomen to just three shots on goal in the second half and preserved the shutout
