The Short Story: After trailing 33-18 at the end of the first quarter, the Rams opened the second stanza on a 7-0 run. The run was sparked by a Nyra Williams layup and capped by back-to-back jumpers from Tera Reed that brought VCU back within 33-25. The Golden Gophers ultimately closed the quarter on a 22–4 run and led 55-29 at halftime.
