2020-21: JUNIOR
Won four of her last five decisions to finish the spring 4-3Â in singles and three of her last four doubles after missing much of the early schedule with an injury.Â
Fall:  Did not see any action in the fall. Â
2019-20: SOPHOMORE
Spring:  Posted a 3-1 mark in singles and 5-3 record in doubles during the shortened spring campaign... Finishing 40th in the final Oracle/ITA doubles rankings with Priya Niezgoda to become the ninth doubles team in school history to finish the year in the top 50…The pair won two of three meetings with ranked opponents, including a 6-2 win over Oklahoma's Jasmine Asghar and Oleksandra Korashvilli who were ranked 27th heading in the ITA Kickoff Weekend...Â
Fall:Â Close out the fall campaign by earning her first career national ranking in singles (86) while improving her doubles ranking with Priya Niezgoda from a tie for 39

th… Finished the fall  with 8-1 mark in singles and 5-2 in doubles… Advanced from the pre-qualifying bracket to the Round of 32 at the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships, defeating three ranked players before falling in three sets to #8 Anna Rogers of North Carolina State… Dispatched of #64 Miranda Ramirez of Syracuse (6-3, 2-6, 6-2), #54 Vanessa Wong of Washington (6-2, 6-4) and #31 Paola Delgado of VCU (6-1, 6-4) in consecutive matches…Had posted a 1-2 mark against ranked players as a freshman… Finished the tournament with a 6-1 mark in singles..  Combined with Niezgoda to reach the doubles semifinals at the ITA Texas Regional defeating a pair of teams from Texas (Marta Perez-Mur/Lexi Ryngler in the round of 16 and Fernanda Labrana/Tijana Spasojevic) before for falling to eighth ranked Jayci Goldsmith and Tatiana Marakova of Texas A&M. Â
2018-19: FRESHMAN
Third on the team with 13 singles wins in dual competition (13-7), primarily at the third line (9-5)… Won four of her last six and nine of her last 12… Ranked in doubles with Priya Niezgoda for most of the dual season, compiling a 17-3 record overall (13-2 at the second line)… Duo won their last eight matches to close out the year… Clinched nine of the Owls 19 doubles points during the season... Conference USA as the Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week in mid March after a win vs. Pepperdine and delivering the clinch point vs. Dartmouth.Â
  Fall:  Posted a 2-1 mark in singles in her first collegiate action…  Defeated Sam Houston’s Isidora Zivkovic in three sets at the Rice Invitational to register her first career win.
Juniors
Has a WTA ranking of 990… Combined with her sister to the doubles  finals $15,000 ITF event in Wanfercee-Baulet Belgium in 2016 and reached the semis in 2017. Captured the Belgian Winter Cup U16 title… Owns wins over a pair of former top 15 juniors (Vojislava Lukic and Sofya Lansere).

Parents are Alexey Smirnov and Nataliya Smirnova... Both parents were professional table tennis players… Father was ranked as high as 11th in the world and participated in 3 Olympic Games ( London, Greece and Beijing). He was the top ranked player in Russia for 20 years... Mother played for the Russian junior national table tennis team…Â
