2023-24 HIGHLIGHTS (FRESHMAN):
- Named to the All-Atlantic 10 Rookie Team
- Appeared in all 32 games with 27 starts
- Averaged 3.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game
- Led the team with a 49.4 percent field goal percentage
PRIOR TO VCU:
- Sotelo signed with VCU over the summer and joined the team in early August
- In Spain, she has already debuted for Ensino Lugo in the country’s top Division, the Liga Endesa. She has played for the club at the U17 and U18 levels
- Sotelo led her U18 Ensino Lugo team to a league championship and an appearance in the round of 16 in the Spanish Club Championship
- While playing at the U17 level, she debuted with the professional side and helped her U17 team to a league championship and another appearance in the Spanish Club Championship
- Prior to playing for Ensino, she competed for Bosco Salesianos Ourense where she helped lead her U16 side to a league championship
- Daughter of former Olympic Spanish pole vaulters
