THE SHORT STORY
Led by freshman forward Monique McEnhimer's brace, four Rams combined for a season-high five goals as VCU women's soccer took down St. Bonaventure for the first VCU win in the new Athletic Village. The Rams posted their first clean sheet of the season with an outstanding defensive performance, beating the Bonnies 5-0.

  • McEnhimer's two goals and five points are career high marks and the most in a single-game by any Ram this season
  • Jazmin Jackson, Shiori Shintaku and Isabelle Franklin had the other tallies for the Rams
  • Shintaku and Vivian Vendt also added assists
  • The Rams' five goals were the most since September 17, 2023 at George Mason and the most in a VCU home game since September 15, 2019 against Saint Francis

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Despite firing off six shots in the opening 20 minutes, the Rams were unable to get on the board until Jackson drew a penalty and converted on the kick to open the scoring, 1-0
  • With 4:26 off the clock since the first strike, Shintaku lured Turpin off her line to thread the Rams' second goal to the far post
  • In the 69th minute, VCU opened the floodgates with three goals over seven minutes as McEnhimer scored a pair and Franklin worked around a Bonnies defender at the edge of the six-yard box to send Vendt's ball-in to the back of the net
  • VCU won 5-0 at the Athletic Village on Thursday
