THE SHORT STORY
VCU women's soccer scored a pair of unanswered goals in the final 11 minutes, separated by just 4:38, to battle back to a result with East Carolina. Late heroics by Isabelle Franklin and Jazmin Jackson, tied the Rams 2-2 with the Pirates to earn back-to-back draws.

  • In the 80th minute, Franklin finally got VCU on the board after the Rams' first 14 shot attempts were unsuccessful, redirecting a pass from Cox into the lower corner
  • With just 4:38 off the clock since the Rams' first strike, Jackson dodged a pair of Pirates to sneak in the game-tying goal in the 85th minute
  • In a last-ditch effort to take a lead, Ishpreen Marwah and Keira McCloskey each placed a shot on goal in the final three minutes, but Dietrich held onto the 2-2 tie
