The Short Story:Â VCU jumped out to a 15-0 lead and led 15-1 at halftime, the largest halftime lead in program history, as the Rams dominated wire-to-wire.

- Annika Bennett had three goals and one assist. Sam Palmer also scored three goals

HOW IT HAPPENED
- VCU needed just 38 seconds to open the scoring as Palmer found the back of the net
- The Rams scored 15 unanswered goals to start the game. VCU led 9-0 at the end of the first quarter as Palmer recorded a first quarter hat trick
- Koeneke, Chloe King and Bennett each scored two goals in the first half as the Rams built their 15-1 halftime lead
- The Rams mixed lineups after taking a 15-0 lead and Duquesne scored four of the next five as the Rams led 16-4
- VCU's lead was never threatened as they cruised to the win
