2026 NCAA TOURNAMENT BRACKET (.pdf)

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – VCU will face North Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 19 in Greenville, S.C.
 
The Rams (27-7), hot off their second straight Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament Championship, will be the 11-seed in the South Region, and will face the sixth-seeded and 19^th-ranked Tarheels (24-8) for the first time in program history.
 
Game times and TV network information will be released later Sunday evening.
 
VCU will be making the 21^st NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, and its 15^th since 2004. The Black and Gold have reached "The Big Dance" three of the past four seasons via the A-10's automatic bid.
 
The Rams, led by first-year Head Coach Phil Martelli Jr., have won 16 of their past 17 games.
