QUINTET OF RAMS EARN ALL-ATLANTIC 10 HONORS; HILL, DJOKOVIC NAMED FIRST TEAM

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Four VCU players, including First Team selections Lazar Djokovic (Gornji Milanovac, Serbia) and Terrence Hill Jr. (Portland, Ore.), as well as Rookie of the Year Nyk Lewis (Washington, D.C.), highlighted the Rams' All-Atlantic 10 Conference awards haul, the league announced Wednesday ahead of the tip-off of at A-10 Tournament at PPG Paints Arena.

Djokovic and Hill are the first VCU teammates to earn First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in the same season. VCU has placed a player on First Team in all but two of its 14 seasons as a member of the A-10. In addition, Hill received the A-10's Sixth Man of the Year and Chris Daniels Most Improved Player awards, while sophomore guard Brandon Jennings (Richmond, Va.) was selected to the conference's All-Defensive Team.

Hill's trio of honors is a testament to his breakout sophomore season. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged a team-high 14.1 points per game and connected a team-best 67 three-pointers during the regular season. A native of Portland, Ore., Hill shot .870 (107-of-123) at the free throw line and has topped double figures in 23 games, including five 20-point efforts. Hill poured in a career-high 24 points in a win over Loyola Chicago on Jan. 30.

Hill has done nearly all of his damage while coming off the bench. He's started just two of VCU's 31 games this season and is the leading scorer in the country among players who have started fewer than three games. As a freshman last season, Hill averaged 3.4 points and 6.2 minutes per game.

He's the second straight Ram and third overall to win the A-10's Sixth Man of the Year award, joining Melvin Johnson (2014) and Zeb Jackson (2025).

Djokovic has blossomed in his first season as a Ram. A junior, Djokovic is averaging a career-high 13.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game, while shooting .525 from the floor and .768 from the free throw line. His 146 made free throws this year rank sixth in school single-season history. A 6-11 forward, he's also knocked down 20-of-54 (.370) attempts from beyond the 3-point arc.

A transfer from Charleston, Djokovic has reached double figures 24 times in 2025-26, including six 20-point games. He also racked up a pair of double-doubles.

Lewis is the first VCU player to win A-10 Rookie of the Year and the first Ram to receive that honor from any conference since Nick George claimed the award in the CAA in 2003. Lewis has started all but one game for the Rams in 2025-26, and is averaging 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Lewis has reached double figures 14 times this year, and he has been named A-10 Rookie of the Week on four occasions.

Jennings was a major contributor to VCU's 2025 A-10 Championship squad as a freshman, but this season, he's come into his own under first-year Head Coach Phil Martelli Jr. A 6-4 guard, Jennings has grabbed a team-high 52 steals this year, fourth-most in the A-10. He's also blocked 24 shots and is averaging 3.4 rebounds per game. On the offensive side of the ball, Jennings has provided 9.0 points per game, while shooting .412 (21-of-51) from 3-point range.

VCU (24-7) and its quintet of All-Conference players earned a share of the A-10 regular season championship with a 15-3 league mark. The Rams will be the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament and will await the winner of seventh-seeded Duquesne and 10th-seeded Rhode Island on Friday at 5 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena.
