The short story: VCU led Dayton 20-17 after the first quarter but an 11-2 run to start the second quarter gave the Flyers the lead for good in the regular season finale.

• Makennah White was the second Ram in double figures with 11 points and four rebounds

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• VCU trailed Dayton 10-7 with 6:21 left in the first quarter before White sparked a 10-2 run to give the Rams the lead. VCU led 20-17 at the end of the first quarter
• Dayton went on an 11-2 run to take a 28-22 lead with 5:04 left before halftime. The Flyers took a 37-30 lead over VCU into the break
• The Flyers then used a 16-3 run in the third quarter to build a 58-37 with 4:09 left in the third quarter
• The Rams were unable to overcome the deficit in the second half
