WASHINGTON, D.C. – VCU field hockey goalkeeper Emma Clements was tabbed Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week after a 13-save shutout sent the Rams to a penalty shootout against Saint Joseph's.

The redshirt junior tied her season best with the 13 stops against the Hawks, also logging a season-high 75 minutes. Clements was credited with her third shutout of the season and her first of the A10 slate, producing double-digit saves for the third time this year.

Clements marks the third Ram this season, joining Ana Afonso and Julia Spohr, to be recognized in the Atlantic 10 weekly awards. It's the second consecutive week that VCU claimed the Defensive Player of the Week honor.
