HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Asare opened the game with a 3-pointer, but George Mason answered quickly with a 10-0 run. The Patriots led 15-8 following the first quarter
• Harris netted three 3-pointers for the Patriots in the second quarter, lifting Mason to a 33-21 lead at the half
• VCU trailed 52-28 after the third quarter as Geroge Mason manufactured a 13-1 run to extend its lead
• White sparked the Rams' late rally in the fourth quarter, capping an 8-0 run with back-to-back 3-pointers
• The Rams outscored the Patriots 30-16 in the final quarter, closing out the game with a 14-3 run, but fell 68-58
