RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Field Hockey Head Coach
Stacey Bean has announced the hiring of Fiona Minter as an assistant coach.
Minter joined VCU Field Hockey as a volunteer assistant in Feb. 2025 and has spent time coaching with USA Field Hockey since 2021.Â
While with USA Field Hockey, Minter helped establish benchmarks for performance and monitored both individual and team progress. Minter also worked with NEXUS curriculum for youth players to develop for national-level teams. She also worked with coaches on the creation and implementation of drills for player evaluation.
During her playing career, Minter finished her career at ODU after spending her freshman season at American. Minter started all 17 games as a freshman at American, recording a 1.46 goals against average and making 34 saves. She was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Minter made four appearances for the Monarchs during her time at ODU.
Minter also spent time working with Richmond Behavioral Health Authority and as a practicum student with VCU Student-Athlete Development.
Minter graduated from ODU with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is currently concluding her master's degree at VCU in rehabilitation and mental health counseling.
