Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Old Dominion managed four hits in the first inning to score five runs, replicating the Rams' early lead from the teams' first meeting of the season
- Kleinman took a full-count pitch deep into the right-field gap for a single before Jacob Lee lined the next pitch into left field, setting up Jimenez to drive in a pair for VCU
- Scattering three more runs over the next four frames, Old Dominion solidified its 8-2 lead
- Due to a lighting outage at The Diamond in the bottom of the seventh inning the game was called, and the score remained final
