THE SHORT STORY: Princeton evened the weekend series at 1-1 with a strong offensive performance in game two, taking down the Rams, 11-4.

LEADING OFF:
- The Rams notched double-digit strikeouts on the mound for the fourth time, combining for 11
- Nick Flores and Jacob Lee each tallied a pair of hits
- Adrian Jimenez drove in two runs on a single
- Nick Frers went a career-high 2.2 scoreless innings and struck out a pair, giving up just one hit
- Freshman lefthander Elijah Coston retired all four batters he faced, three by strikeout
- Princeton outhit VCU 14-7
- The teams were even with one error apiece

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Tigers worked up a 10-run lead heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, before the Rams had their first bout of scoring offense
- Flores smacked a single through the left side and Will Henson and Carter Richey loaded the bases with a hit-by-pitch and walk, respectively
- The trio advanced on a wild pitch for the Rams' first run of the game before Jimenez roped a two-run single into right field to score a pair, cutting the Tigers' lead to 10-3
- Princeton added one more run in the fifth inning before being held to just one hit for the remainder of the contest by Frers and Coston
- Sean Swenson reached on a dropped fly ball and Lee doubled him in for the Rams' final run of the game
- Princeton secured their second victory and starting pitcher Andrew D'Alessio laid claim to his first win of the season

VCU will conclude the series against the Tigers at 1 p.m. on March 9 as the Rams search for their first series victory of 2025. Then, VCU will welcome East Carolina for a pair of midweek games Tuesday and Wednesday on March 11-12.
