- Duquesne scored five of the next seven goals to get back within 9-6 with 14:38 left in the third quarter
- The Rams thwarted the Dukes comeback attempt by answering with five of the next six goals, including two from Palmer, to rebuild its lead to 14-7 and pull away for good
