VCU'S LATE RALLY FALLS SHORT AT RICHMOND IN 10-8 LOSS

The short story:  VCU fell behind Richmond 10-5 with 6:20 left in the contest before the Rams scored three unanswered to get within 10-8 with 3:04 left. VCU was unable to complete the comeback and had its three-game winning streak snapped

  • The Spiders pulled away again, increasing their lead to 10-5 with 6:20 left in the fourth quarter on a man-up goal
  • VCU rallied, scoring three goals in a 1:37 window to get back within 10-8 with 3:04 remaining in the contest
  • The Rams got just one more shot attempt, a save from a free position, and were unable to complete the comeback
