Ahmad Nowell scored a career-high 19 points, spearheading a dominant performance by the VCU bench corps on the way to a 100-79 win over Rider Monday.

- Nowell knocked down all five of his 3-point attempts and finished 7-of-8 from the field to spark the Rams
- Junior forward Keyshawn Mitchell delivered his second double-double of the season for the Black and Gold with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Mitchell also converted 7-of-8 attempts from the line
- VCU junior forward Lazar Djokovic finished with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting in just 17 minutes of action
- Rams guard Terrence Hill Jr. provided a spark off the bench with 12 points, converting all of his free-throw attempts

- VCU's depth proved crucial, as the Rams' bench poured in a season-high 62 points
- The Black and Gold shot a season-high 58 percent (36-of-62) from the floor and 48 percent (11-of-23) from 3-point range
- The Rams controlled the paint, outscoring the Broncs 50-32
- VCU used a decisive 23-5 run, highlighted by three 3-pointers from Nowell, to extend the lead to 71-48 with 12:16 remaining. Rider never seriously threatened again

- The Rams, who defeated American 105-85 on Dec. 18, have scored 100 points in consecutive games for the first time since Dec. 20 and Dec. 29, 1975, when they dropped 102 on Northeastern and 115 on CCNY
