WASHINGTON, D.C. – After defending as Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week last week, senior center back 
Moussa Ndiaye became the first A-10 player to earn the award in three consecutive weeks since 2017, the conference released Monday.
 
After holding Loyola Chicago and Rhode Island to a combined four shots on goal in the previous matches, the Rams' back line continued their dominant defense and limited Davidson just two on-target shots in a pivotal regular season finale.
 
VCU gave up just two shots on goal, its second-best mark of the season, and for the second consecutive game, the Rams allowed just eight total shot attempts, tied for their fewest against an Atlantic 10 opponent.
 
Earning the final A-10 weekly honor of the season, Ndiaye is the first Ram in VCU's Atlantic 10 history to earn any weekly honor in three consecutive weeks and joins Mario Sequeira as the only other Ram to earn three player of the week awards in the same season.
 
Making his 65
th career start against the Wildcats, preseason All-Atlantic 10 has amassed over 5,750 minutes heading into the A-10 Championship. Ndiaye has started on the back line in every game he was eligible for this season, matching his career-best three points with a goal and an assist, while leading VCU to four clean sheets.

Ndiaye and the Rams will be back in action for their regular the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. in Dayton, Ohio.
