RICHMOND, Va. – With the weather ripping across the east coast, VCU Baseball's schedule has been adjusted as the Rams look to get as many games in as they can, starting with a Thursday, Mar. 6 pair of games against Western Carolina and Western Michigan in Greenville, S.C.
VCU's pair of games at No. 11 East Carolina, originally scheduled for Mar. 5-6, have both been washed out due to rain and poor field conditions. The first change made was that VCU will return to Greenville, N.C. on May 8 for a 6 p.m. makeup game against East Carolina.
The Rams' weekend at Fluor Field in Greenville, S.C., had to move around and the biggest change was the move to Thursday. VCU will open the weekend against Western Michigan at 2 p.m. The Rams will then take on Western Carolina at 6 p.m.
On Sunday VCU will finish the weekend at the First Pitch Invitational by facing hosting Michigan State at 2 p.m.
In order to make up the lost game at East Carolina, VCU has added a game over the weekend of Mar. 15-17 against Princeton. VCU and the Ivy League's Tigers will play a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 16 starting at 1 p.m. to go along with a single game on Friday (Mar. 15) and a single game on Sunday (Mar. 17).
