The Short Story: Despite making the doubles point come down to a two-point margin on court two and making it 3-2 late in singles, the Rams dropped a competitive match to Old Dominion on Wednesday afternoon at the CCV.

• After Matisse Bobichon and Mathis Bondaz took their match on court three 6-3, the Monarchs took the the Black and Gold to the wire on courts one and two for the doubles point
• Tristan Piombo and Romain Gales mounted a comeback that fell just short on court two, while German Samofalov and Oscar Pinto Sansano fought back on court one to fall in tiebreaker sets, both against nationally-ranked Monarchs in doubles
• On court two, Bondaz stayed undefeated on the season, coming from behind in the first set and winning 6-4, 6-4.
• Romain Gales and Hamza El Amine won their fifth straight matches respectively, on courts four and six
