Ella Fehr as the Rams led for nearly 45 minutes of the contest and held on for the win

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- VCU took an early 1-0 lead in the 11th minute as Fehr converted a penalty corner
- Davidson tied the game at 1-1 just over five minutes later in the 16th minute as Collins scored following a penalty corner
- The Rams took the lead right back at 2-1 when Fehr again scored off a corner in the 20th minute
- VCU outshot Davidson 4-2 in the third period as the Rams held their 2-1 lead
- In the fourth quarter, the Rams held off a furious Davidson rally as the Wildcats outshot VCU 10-2 and took seven penalty corners
