Records: VCU (4-8-4, 3-2-4 A-10), GW (4-10-3, 2-6-1 A-10)

THE SHORT STORY: After a quiet first half at George Washington, VCU came out flaming hot for the final 45 minutes, scoring a pair of goals in just the first six minutes of the back half. Kanna Matsuhisa scored her seventh goal of the year, while Paige Hoeger's three-point game helped the Rams pick up three A-10 points in a 2-0 victory.

PITCH SIDE
  • Hoeger recorded her first career three-point game with her first goal of the season
  • Matsuhisa tallied her seventh goal of the season, continuing to extend her career best
  • Greta Kraszula's ball-in from the corner gave her the assist on the Rams' second goal
  • VCU held GW to just two shots, one on goal, in the first 60 minutes of play
  • Allison Karpovich's clean sheet was her fifth of the season and the ninth of her career, moving her into sole possession of ninth-place all-time in solo shutouts
  • Karpovich continued to close in on the program's all-time top 10 saves leaderboard, climbing up to a career mark of 105
  • The Rams tied their season-best 10 shots on goal against Davidson, three of which came from Y-Van Nguyen
  • Tallying 13 total points in conference play, VCU claimed 6th place in the Atlantic 10 heading into the final weekend of play

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Kraszula, who scored during VCU's pervious match to the tune of a SportsCenter Top 10 olimpico, nailed the back post in the 24th minute, just inches away from her second of the season
  • Opening the second half, the Rams claimed their decisive lead as Hoeger sent a ball up for Masuhisa, who laced it past Ainsley Lumpe to the far side in the 47th minute
  • Hoeger extended the Rams' lead, poking in a ball off the corner from Kraszula in the 52nd minute
  • The Revolutionaries picked up the pace in the final 15, doubling their shots and shots on goal in the match to 10 and four, respectively
  • VCU came out on top, 2-0, taking home three valuable points in the conference standings
