The Short Story: Sarah Te-Biasu buried a career-high seven three-pointers, and helped VCU fuel a 9-0 fourth-quarter run to take the 64-51 victory in front of a school-record crowd of 5,324 on Education Day.

Opening tip:
- Te-Biasu scored 26 points on 9-20 shooting (7-12 from 3-point range). She also had seven rebounds and five assists. It marked her fourth game this season scoring 20 or more points
- Mary-Anna Asare contributed nine points, six rebounds and three assists. She shot 2-of-4 from 3-point range
- VCU made a season-high 10 3-pointers as a team, going 10-of-21 from deep (47.5 percent) while holding the Dukes to just 5-of-19 3-point shooting (26.3 percent)

How it happened
- The Rams started fast, opening the game on a 9-2 run with 6:48 in the first quarter
- The Dukes responded right away, going on an 8-2 run to cut the lead to 11-10. The Rams led 15-12 heading into the second
- Duquesne score the first four points of the second quarter to lead 16-15 with 8:15 left, the Dukes' first lead of the contest
- VCU was held scoreless in the second quarter until Te-Biasu knocked in her second three-pointer at the 6:37 mark, sparking a 15-6 run that gave the Rams a 30-22 lead at halftime. She made three 3-pointers in the period
- VCU struggled from the field in the third, shooting just 12.5% as Duquesne chipped away at the Ram lead. The Dukes outscored VCU 14-7 in the period and the Rams clung to a 37-36 lead heading into the games' final 10 minutes
- Duquesne took the lead back to open the fourth as the teams traded the lead back-and-forth early in the period
- With the game tied at 42-42, VCU's offense caught fire. A Te-Biasu three-point play sparked a 22-7 run that put the Rams comfortably in front
- VCU only allowed two made field goals over the games final 8:13 as the Rams pulled away for the win
