RICHMOND, Va. – Following two seasons in Blacksburg, Va., redshirt sophomore Theo Drennan has transferred home to Richmond and will join the VCU Men's Soccer squad in the upcoming spring ahead of the 2024 fall season.
 
Drennan made 12 starts in the Virginia Tech midfield, appearing in 14 games during the 2023 season. He recorded three shots, two on goal in those 14 games.
 
Prior to heading to Blacksburg Drennan spent his high school years playing with Richmond United. During that stretch he received an invite to compete at the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team Regional Training Center and gained attention from several prominent MLS clubs, including D.C. United, Columbus Crew and Real Salt Lake.
