The Short Story: Powered by a career-high 22-points from
Timaya Lewis-Eutsey, VCU used an 26-9 third quarter to build a lead over La Salle and never look back en route to their fourth straight win.

OPENING TIP:
- Lewis-Eutsey shot 10-of-17 from the field and also notched her first double-double of the season with 11 rebounds in addition to her 22 points
- Sarah Te-Biasu scored 15 points with two assists while Mary-Anna Asare had 13 points and two assists
- VCU's backcourt of Te-Biasu, Asare, and Lewis-Eutsey only committed one turnover each
- Mykel Parham had six points and nine boards on an efficient 3-of-5 shooting

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- La Salle came out strong with the Explorers, leading by as many as six in the first quarter, but the Rams cut the deficit to 15-14 heading into the second
- The second quarter was back-and-forth defensive battle with neither team leading by more than five in the second quarter. Both teams shot less than 30 percent from the field in the quarter
- La Salle went on a small run 5-0 run to take a 28-24 lead into the half
- The Rams came out strong out of halftime, going on an 11-4 run over the first three minutes of the period. The stretch saw VCU shoot 3-of-3 from three-point range and 4-of-6 from the floor. The Rams led 35-32 following their run
- After trading baskets, VCU went on a 15-5 run to close the quarter and led 50-37 heading into the fourth
- The Rams lead ballooned to as many as 17 early in the fourth quarter off a Lewis-Eutsey layup
- The Explorers would only get as close as 59-50 with 3:24 left in the contest before the Rams held La Salle scoreless for the remainder of the game
