VCU SET TO FACE OLE MISS IN NCAA MEN'S TENNIS FIRST ROUND

RICHMOND, Va. – No. 38 VCU Men's Tennis will make its 26th NCAA Tournament appearance as the Rams are set to face Ole Miss in the NCAA First Round at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 6. The matches will be hosted at the Virginia Tennis Complex at the Boar's Head Sports Club.

VCU won its sixth consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship this past weekend clean sweeps of Saint Joseph's, Davidson and Dayton. The Rams earned the league's automatic berth with the championship win.

VCU boats a 20-5 overall record and the Rams have won six straight games. The Rams haven't lost since April 2 against then-No. 28 Middle Tennessee.

The Black and Gold also drew Virginia as hosts last season, with VCU winning its first round match against Penn before falling to the eventual national champion Cavaliers in the second round.

Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for students with a valid ID per session.  Ages 2 and up are required to have a ticket. Tickets can be purchased beginning Tuesday by calling the Virginia Athletics ticket office at 434-924-8821, online at UVAtix.com, or on-site at Boar's Head Resort starting one hour prior to the event.
