The Short Story: VCU cut its deficit to No. 14 UMass 6-5 with 10:50 left in the second quarter before the Rams' offense struggled against the MInutewomen's defense. UMass was able to outscore VCU 8-2 over the remainder of the contest.

  • The teams traded goals over the next two minutes as UMass led 7-6 before VCU's offense struggled. The Minutewomen outscored the Rams 8-1 for the remainder of the game
