HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Rams dominated the beginning of the game, scoring taking a 6-0 lead after the first quarter and scoring the game's first seven goals
- Slack scored her hat trick all in the first quarter and scored three of the Rams' first five goals
- VCU pushed its lead to 9-1 with 4:06 left before halftime after back-to-back free position goals from Mia George.
- The Dukes were able to trim the deficit to 9-4 with 12:51 left in the third quarter but that is as close of a margin as Duquesne had for the remainder of the game
- VCU expanded on its five-goal lead, outscoring Duquesne 9-4 the rest of the way to cruise to the win
