HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Coastal jumped out to an early 4-1 lead with 3:08 left in the first quarter
• VCU scored two unanswered goals from McLaughlin and Slack  to make it 4-3 with 12:26 left in the second quarter
• The Chanticleers then outscored VCU 5-1 to take a 9-4 lead at halftime
• Coastal Carolina pushed its lead to 15-4 with 6:42 left in the fourth quarter
• The Rams scored three of the game's final four goals to try and cut into the deficit but fell short
