HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Rams got out to an early 4-1 lead in the opening minutes thanks to two goals from Slack
- ODU's Siskind scored a free position goal with one second left in the first quarter to cut VCU's lead to 4-2
- The Black and Gold pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring ODU 6-1 over that period, including a 5-0 scoring run spanning the final 6:53 of the first half to take a 10-3 halftime lead
- During that stretch George scored three goals in 54 seconds of game action
- After a McDonnell goal at 13:07 remaining in the third quarter made it 11-3, ODU went on a 3-0 run to cut the margin to five at 11-6 at the end of the third quarter
- The two teams traded goals in the fourth quarter and McDonnell capped the scoring with her fifth goal of the game with 2:27 left on the clock
- ODU got no closer than a four-goal margin in the fourth quarter
