Jasmine Knight fired 15 kills and eight blocks as the Rams outlasted George Washington Saturday evening at the Smith Center.

OPENING VOLLEY
- Knight turned half of her 30 attempts into kills and hit .333 on the day for VCU
- Senior outside hitter Kialah Jefferson registered a team-high 16 kills for the Black and Gold. She added nine digs
- Junior opposite Parker Hartzell also cashed in 15 kills on 43 tries and kicked in a pair of rejections
- Freshman libero Anja Kujundzic added 29 digs, 11 assists and two aces for VCU
- Brittany Myers led the Revolutionaries with 16 kills
THE DIFFERENCE
- The fifth set featured six ties and a lead change. VCU finally pulled out the win by capitalizing on a service error, followed by a right-handed finish by graduate opposite MaKenzie Chambers
- The Rams stormed out to an 8-4 lead in the tiebreaker following a double block by Knight and Chambers, as well as a kill from Jefferson
- VCU hit .206 in the match and owned an 88-77 advantage in digs
- The Rams hit .310 in the fourth frame on the way to a 25-17 victory that erased a 2-1 deficit in the match
NOTABLE
- VCU surpassed its win total from last season with Saturday's victory
- The Rams have won 10 of their past 11 matches against George Washington
- Saturday's win guarantees VCU at least the 3-seed in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament. The Rams are 12-3 in league play
