The Short Story: VCU Women's Tennis competed at the River City Tennis Open this past weekend, hosted by the University of Richmond. Emma Valletta, Mariam Ibrahim, Anja Draskovic, and Tania Isabel Andrade Sabando made the short trip to compete for the Rams.

Opening Serve:

• Valletta shined throughout the weekend, going 3-0 in singles play
• Ibrahim played in three singles matches and went 1-2
• Draskovic and Andrade Sabando fell in a close doubles match on day one
• The Rams compiled an overall record of 4-7 for the weekend
