THE SHORT STORY: Career goals one and two from
Isabella Cahall, coupled with a beauty from
Milica Bulatovic propelled VCU Women's Soccer to its second-straight victory, knocking off Atlantic 10 foe Fordham, 3-1, on Thursday night.
Â
"We are in playoff mode right now and that was a playoff performance," said Head Coach
Lindsey Martin. "Three fantastic goals to give us a margin of error for the 90 minutes. Again, really proud of our fight and the fun we are having playing together right now. This group wants to keep playing this season and if we play like we did tonight, we will do just that."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- It did not take long for the Rams to get on the board, when in the sixth minute Bulatovic took a perfect centering pass from Bagley to net her fourth goal of the season, putting VCU up 1-0
- Less than 20 minutes later the Rams struck again
- In the 19th minute Cahall's first career goal came off a free kick sent in to Sarver from Munyak, which worked its way to Cahall's foot allowing for the VCU forward to blast home VCU's second goal of the match, making it 2-0
- Shortly after that VCU put the icing on the cake, as Cahall netted her brace, scoring in the 25th minute off an assist from Bagley
- Eller added one more shot on goal in the 34th minute as VCU took a 2-0 lead into the half
- VCU got shots on goal from Bulatovic (49th), Cahall (52nd), Jordan Pieklo (64th) and Carleigh Frilles (65th) to open the second half, as they kept the pressure on Fordham
- The Rams got one final shot on goal in the 82nd minute when Eller again tested the Fordham keeper
- In the 85th minute Fordham spoiled the Ram clean sheet, netting a goal to make it 3-1
- But it was too little too late for Fordham as VCU finished off its big 3-1 victory

CLINCHING THE A-10: The Rams now head to Loyola Chicago on Oct. 22 to wrap up the regular season. A win or draw at Loyola would lock up VCU's spot in the A-10 tournament, which gets started on Oct. 27.
