HOW IT HAPPENED:
- VCU scored just 2:35 into the game when McCormick followed up a blocked shot off a penalty corner and beat the goalkeeper at the back post
- The Rams took a 2-0 lead just before halftime in the 27th minute when Litiana Field followed her initial penalty corner shot attempt, beat a couple of Lions defenders and scored from point blank rangeÂ
- VCU went up 3-0 in the 52nd minute as Skyler Padgett scored from the wing on a hard hit shot to the back postÂ
- Columbia got a goal back late in the 59th minute from Rockefeller but were unable to threaten the Rams' lead any further
