CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The historic NCAA doubles run of Charles and Maxence Bertimon came to a close Friday when the VCU duo dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Texas' Cleeve Harper and Richard Ciamarra, 6-4, 6-3.
 
Despite the loss, the Bertimon twins etched their names in school history as the first VCU doubles pair to advance to the national semifinals. Their historic run included an upset of the No. 1 overall seed, Jacob Fearnley and Luc Fomba of TCU, in the opening round.
 
In the process, the Bertimons earned ITA All-America status, and forged a 23-10 doubles mark.
